We are seeking multiple lawyers to join our busy Property and Commercial teams in Tauranga and Rotorua. These roles vary in seniority and focus, offering exciting opportunities for lawyers with 3–7 years’ PQE.
About the role:

You will work within an energetic and collegial team managed by a Partner across a range of work including:

  • Property transactions – residential, commercial, rural
  • Commercial property – acting for landlords and property owners
  • Rural property – including work in the kiwifruit industry
  • Business transactions – sale and purchase of businesses and shares
  • Business structuring advice – a particular focus on shareholder agreements and succession planning
  • Subdivisions – private, commercial and industrial
  • Local Authority Work – legal support for councils and public entities
  • Māori Land – with a focus on commercial endeavours and property transactions

The team comprises a mix of Lawyers, Legal Executives and Support Staff at differing stages of their careers

About you:
  • NZ-admitted lawyers with 3-7 years’ PQE
  • Strong property law experience and commercial acumen
  • Trust and estate planning knowledge is a plus
  • Has knowledge of concepts and structures around how financing, mortgages and securities work
  • Property/conveyancing experience
  • Strong client service orientation and a desire to add real value to every client interaction
  • Strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication, written, analytical and transaction management skills
  • Down to earth and collaborative interpersonal style
