We’re looking for talented Solicitors (3–7 years’ PQE) to join our Succession, Trusts & Estates team and play a key role in delivering exceptional private client services across the Bay of Plenty.
Tauranga Solicitor

While based in Tauranga, this role includes the opportunity to work from our Rotorua and Whakatāne offices. Ideally, the successful candidate will spend time in Rotorua once or twice per week and in Whakatāne on a monthly basis. However, this is not essential, and flexibility will be offered for the right person.

Rotorua Solicitor

This role is based in Rotorua, with the opportunity to work across our Tauranga and Whakatāne offices. We offer flexibility in how time is split across locations, with regular connection to our wider Bay of Plenty team encouraged.

About the role:

This is an excellent opportunity for private client lawyers looking to further develop their expertise within a supportive, collaborative, and high-performing team. There is a genuine pathway for progression and long-term career development.

You will work closely with Partners and colleagues on a broad range of matters, including:
  • Estate planning and administration
  • Estate conveyancing
  • Trusts (establishment, administration and variations)
  • Wills and succession planning
  • Enduring powers of attorney
  • Residential care subsidy and occupation right agreements
  • Asset protection and relationship property planning (where relevant)
In this role, you will:
  • Manage your own files with autonomy, supported by an experienced team
  • Deliver clear, practical and client-focused legal advice
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
  • Work closely with legal executives and support staff
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of the practice
  • Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate
About you:

You are a pragmatic, detail-oriented lawyer who enjoys private client work and takes pride in delivering thoughtful, high-quality advice.

You will bring:
  • 3–7 years’ PQE and admission in New Zealand
  • Strong technical capability with excellent attention to detail
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
  • A client-focused approach with sound professional judgement
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • A collaborative, approachable and down-to-earth working style
