We are now seeking a transactional lawyer to join our high-performing Corporate and Finance team. 

About the role:

This role offers an excellent opportunity to build your career in corporate and finance law within a collaborative and supportive team environment. You will work alongside three Partners with significant international experience and experienced lawyers on a diverse range of matters for local, national and international clients. 

You will gain exposure to a broad mix of transactional work, including:

• Secured and unsecured finance transactions 
• Aviation and asset finance (primarily international) 
• Project finance (energy and infrastructure) 
• Mergers and acquisitions 
• Capital raising 
• Venture capital funds and private equity 
• Corporate structuring and restructuring 
• Governance and advisory 
• Domestic and cross-border transactions and trade 

From the outset, you will be supported to develop your technical skills, build client relationships, and grow confidence across a variety of complex and interesting matters. 

About you:

You are a motivated and commercially minded transactional lawyer with 2-6+ years’ PQE with a genuine interest in corporate and finance law. You are eager to learn, contribute to a team, and deliver high-quality work for clients. 

You will bring:

• NZ admission (or eligibility for admission) with 2-6+ years’ PQE 
• A strong client service focus and desire to add value 
• A proactive attitude and strong work ethic 
• Excellent written, verbal, and technical skills 
• Proven transactional experience in the corporate or banking and finance sectors with the ability to work with a reasonably high degree of autonomy 
• A collaborative, down-to-earth and team-orientated approach
