About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and highly organised Legal Assistant to join our Property & Commercial team in Whakatāne on a six-month fixed-term contract.
This is a key role within our busy and high-performing team. You will provide essential support to Solicitors, contributing to the smooth and efficient running of the practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing legal documentation, onboarding clients, completing customer due diligence and managing file administration
- Managing client communications and coordinating appointments to ensure an excellent client experience
- Handling trust account payments and receipts
- Billing, client maintenance and general administrative support
- Managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborating with team members to support workflow efficiency
- Providing reception support where required, including answering phones, welcoming clients, and coordinating diaries and meetings
About you:
You are an experienced Legal Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. You enjoy building relationships, staying organised, and supporting others to succeed.
