President of the local branch of the NZ Institute of Legal Executives – Ally McEldowney

Ally McEldowneywas voted in as President of the New Zealand Institute of Legal Executives Bay of Plenty Gisborne Branch Inc at the AGM held on 24 October 2019.

Ally has been the branches Secretary for the past four years and is looking forward to her new role. The branch has over 130 members and has just celebrated its 30th anniversary.

As the President Ally will represent the branch on the National Council of the New Zealand Institute of Legal Executives Inc as well as facilitating meetings and hosting functions for its members.

National Council work to ensure that the integrity of the term “Registered Legal Executive” is upheld and strive for better recognition for the Institute’s members. Registered Legal Executives with at least 12 months experience can witness donor signatures to enduring powers of attorney under the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988 and Fellows of the Institute can witness statutory declarations under the Oaths and Declarations Act 1957.
