Holland Beckett is pleased to have assisted Lightsource BP and Contact Energy on the development of the Kōwhai Park solar project and reaching financial close, including property, connection agreement and construction matters.

Kōwhai Park Solar Farm is located on the Christchurch International Airport Limited campus and is the first phase of the airport’s renewable energy precinct. The 168MWp solar farm will have around 300,000 panels spanning 230 hectares and will be one of New Zealand’s largest solar farms. Once operational, it will generate enough electricity to power the equivalent of approximately 36,000 homes.

The Holland Beckett team was led by partners Joel Murphy and Ken Hawkes.  Other Holland Beckett team members included Montie Baskett, Emily Merrill and Giorgia Robertson.
