Blair is a Solicitor in Holland Beckett Law’s litigation team.
Blair has experience in a wide range of matters – particularly commercial, insolvency and employment disputes – and has appeared in the High Court, District Court, Employment Relations Authority and an arbitral tribunal. His involvement in managing litigation files has included drafting pleadings and submissions, along with presenting oral submissions. Blair has also managed files in more specialist areas of law, such as healthcare, criminal defence and maritime law, and is regularly involved in mediations and direct negotiation.
Blair plays an extensive role in the community. He is a trustee of the Bay of Plenty Youth Development Trust (trading as the Tauranga Boxing Academy) and contributes to board meetings of Merivale Community Inc. Blair also volunteers at the Baywide Community Law Service.
Born and raised in Tauranga, Blair attended Tauranga Boys’ College, where he was Deputy Head Prefect and Arts Dux in 2011. He then spent five years studying for his law degree and a BA in politics, philosophy and economics at the University of Otago. His study there included a half-year exchange at the University of Tübingen in Germany.
