Georgina-Smith-2.jpg

A partner in Holland Beckett Law, Georgina is a pragmatic and approachable lawyer. She takes complex legal problems and converts them into understandable concepts with options for her clients.

Georgina grew up in ‘windy Wellington’ always curious about how those huge buildings didn’t topple over in the blustering gales and how so many houses were built on stilts into steep hillsides….so it is no wonder she ended up acting primarily for builders, property developers and NZ’s largest non-bank lender in her legal career. She thrives on assisting clients with structuring deals which focus on growth and development of the Bay of Plenty region and wider NZ.

Georgina advises on:

  • Subdivisions and property development
  • Land acquisition & conveyancing
  • Commercial leasing
  • Ownership structures
  • General property and contractual matters

Beyond work, Georgina has spent a good portion of her life travelling to as many remote destinations as possible – on the list is Egypt, Brazil, Iceland, Russia and Mongolia, with the next goal being Antarctica.

Closer to home, she also has a couple of extra-curricular passions; Georgina is on the defence for the Mount Maunganui Hockey Club’s Tauranga Premier League side, and also volunteers as part of the back-stage crew for Tauranga Musical Theatre.
