Josh (Vasheesh) Bhageerutty

Josh is a seasoned trusts and corporate services specialist with over 8 years of professional experiences.

Josh is originally from Mauritius, and bilingual in French & English. After successfully achieving the ‘International Cambridge O-Level and A-Level International Certificates (UK)’, he was awarded the high-achiever full-fee paying scholarship (business/economic side) and completed his ‘BA (Hons) Law & Management’ in 2014. In 2018, he specialised by completing a ‘Master of Corporate Laws (LL.M with Merit)’.

Since 2020, Josh has also been an active researcher and is currently pursuing his ‘Doctor of Law (Ph.D. Law 2021-24)’ doctoral postgraduate degree at the Auckland University of Technology researching on regulating AI (algorithmic trading), market manipulation and trading malpractices within the NZX and ASX stock exchanges and is looking towards graduating by end of 2024.

Prior to joining Holland Beckett, Josh held various Trust Relationship Management roles within the international offshore sector, servicing clients in over a dozen of jurisdictions. In these roles, he managed a complex managerial mixed portfolio of ultra-high net worth individuals and advising on international asset protection, complex legal corporate and trust matters, investments, virtual assets protection, wealth management solutions among other.

Outside of work Josh loves cooking French-Mauritian gastronomies, fishing, hunting, traveling and exploring new countries and cultures.
