Laura is a member of our Disputes Resolution team specialising in civil litigation and resource management with a particular interest in rural law and acting for horticultural and agricultural clients.

Prior to joining Holland Beckett Law in April 2022, Laura was first a solicitor at a large regional firm followed by role as a solicitor and policy advisor at Federated Farmers of New Zealand where she provided legal and strategic advice on a number of rural and resource management matters. Across her career, Laura’s experience includes civil disputes, providing advice on resource consents and planning processes, farming matters as well as preparing evidence based-discussion papers and submissions on regional and national policy statements.

Laura grew up on a farm in the King Country before moving to study a Bachelor of Psychology and a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Otago. She has always had an interest in the community having previously volunteered at the Ngāi Tahu Māori Law Centre and now locally at Baywide Tauranga.
