Matthew (Matt) is an Associate in Holland Beckett’s corporate and finance team.
Matt joined Holland Beckett in 2025 after working in London for six years across two leading international firms. Prior to joining Holland Beckett, Matt was most recently an Associate in the Leveraged Finance & Private Credit practice at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft.
Matt has a wealth of experience advising lenders and borrowers on domestic and cross-border financing matters, with a particular focus on leveraged financing transactions involving private credit funds and private equity sponsors. Matt’s experience covers a range of financing products across all levels of the capital structure, including unitranche, holdco PIK, senior/mezz and special situations matters. Matt’s experience also includes a seven-month secondment at Marlborough Partners, a leading pan-European debt advisor.
At his previous firm, Matt was named in Legal 500 UK’s 2023 and 2024 editions as a ‘Key Lawyer’ for Acquisition Finance, with contributors noting that Matt was a “standout lawyer who provides clear and thorough advice”.
