Mikaela Sotutu is a civil litigator with an insurance background.
Mikaela started her legal career in a boutique insurance firm based in Wellington. She has experience in regulatory, professional liability, employment, and construction litigation. She enjoys working with clients from all backgrounds, from Councils and global companies to not-for-profits and small business. Her practice aims to be people-focused and mana-enhancing.
Mikaela has assisted clients with claims in a variety of courts and forums, including the Employment Authority, Disputes Tribunal, Environment Court, District Court, High Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court. She has also assisted clients facing complaints to the Building Practitioners Board, Electrical Workers Registration Board, Real Estate Authority, and New Zealand Law Society.
